Back-Story

The S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) were a law-enforcing task force. The unit served as an equivalent to a SWAT or HRT team. It was a vast organization with many resources and an impeccable reputation. But all that would soon change. The Raccoon City branch of S.T.A.R.S. stumbled onto a huge conspiracy that would change the world.The Umbrella Corporation was a large pharmaceutical corporation whose roots began in Raccoon City. Most jobs and income for the city came from Umbrella. The company itself dealt with making medications mostly. However, Umbrella had a dirty little secret… they were experimenting with virology and using biological research for military applications.  Somehow, they managed to keep everything quiet, at least until September of 1998 when everything would change.

The S.T.A.R.S. had been sent into the Arklay Mountains to investigate a slew of murders. The Bravo Team, who had been sent in first, was missing so the Alpha Team was sent to investigate the disappearance. Within minutes of arriving, they were attacked by what appeared to be dogs. This was the least of their worries. That night was the night of horrors. Zombies and other creatures were discovered in the Spencer Estate. This mansion was supposed to be abandoned, but in actuality, it was a secret lab for Umbrella.

Many of the S.T.A.R.S. had died, but those who survived joined forces to take Umbrella down. Chris Redfield and Barry Burton headed for Europe to scope out the Umbrella HQ. Rebecca Chambers joined forces with the Exeter Branch of the S.T.A.R.S. And lastly, Jill Valentine was finishing up recon in Raccoon before departing for Europe to meet with Barry and Chris. The only other two to make it were STARSMember930 and Bladedancer5. They were assigned together to go to Fairview. Reports had come in that something similar to the mansion and Raccoon City was occurring in the small city.

When Blade and S.T.A.R.S. arrived, things were bad. It was like reliving the Spencer Estate events all over again, except it was worse. The new outbreak wasn’t caused by the T-Virus. It seemed there was a new and different virus causing some differences in the creatures. They knew they could not just get information and leave, they needed to help. Blade and STARS decided to open a new branch of S.T.A.R.S. right in Fairview, and they began recruiting many promising, new recruits who wanted revenge.

Clan Requirements

To be considered a member of this clan, the following requirements must be met:

• Level must be a minimum 25 or above to join the Alpha or Bravo Teams.
• Post count should be around 75-100 or above
• Character design must be organized and sensible
  • Preferably, weapons stats should be in increments of 5 and there should be a focus of some kind towards a build.
• Armor must have 80 Hit Points
  • Includes
    • Mesh SLX
    • Flak Jacket
    • Mesh RX-2
    • SN-42
    • The Reactive Series
    • Dusk Series
• Weapons must include 1 High to Elite Leveled Weapons
  • One set of weapon skills at atleast 85 or more required

Please note: If you are accepted based on your application, you are only accepted for a trial basis. In order to receive full membership, you must show that you are active, show some progress within the clan, etc. Applicants will be checked once monthly for their status; if they pass, they will be issued an ID and become full-members.

S.T.A.R.S. Leadership

Founder and Leader of S.T.A.R.S. & Captain of the Alpha Team
STARSMember930 started playing Dead Frontier on this account in October 2008. After playing for a few months, he opened the S.T.A.R.S. Clan on the Dead Frontier wet-paint. At the time, STARS was still very inexperienced and was criticized. Due to complications, the clan was taken over by another leader. STARS created the T.A.F. Clan and used it to stay close. With the experience gained from building T.A.F. and Organization XIII, he finally took over the S.T.A.R.S. Clan once again.

Leader of S.T.A.R.S. & Clan Liaison and Diplomat

Veruca came to the S.T.A.R.S. clan shortly after the major overhaul in 2011/2012. She came as a member of the S.A.S. clan who was looking to spread out to other clans. Having been a member of S.A.S. (an ally and friend), she was added to the clan. Within a week of her admittance, Veruca soared to the top of the S.T.A.R.S. clan. Veruca is the kind of member who doesn't just come on to post and play; she takes a great interest in her clan-mates and wants nothing but the best for them. After seeing how quickly she took to being in command, Bladedacner5 and STARSMember930 granted her request for leadership. Veruca currently sets the record for the quickest to leadership within the clan.

S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team

The Alpha Team is the higher ups of the S.T.A.R.S. They usually consist of members with better experience, higher levels, and better equipment. The usual cut-off for Alpha is around level 40, but sometimes special members get promoted based on their acts.

Security Division

This division comprises of our top security experts. These members have elite ranks in machine guns, pistols, and shotguns. These members are also the higher leveled members of the Alpha Team. They are the alpha team’s first line of defense in battle.

Science Division

This division comprises of our top scientists and doctors. Many once world-renowned scientists, they are the top in their respective fields. From Biologists to Chemists to Medical doctors, these members are skilled in making and using of pharmaceuticals.

Technological Division

This division is comprised of those who are able to repair intricate and elite armor. In addition, these members have the ability to create or cook high level food. 

Political Division

This division is comprised of those who held legal positions in the old world. Even after the world fell apart, law still held some value. Today, the ideas of a law are tested among clans and guilds.

S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team

The Bravo Team consists of the lower and newermembers of the S.T.A.R.S. It is a great starting point for most members.

Sentry Division

This division is comprised of members who are the security for the Bravo Team. These members usually have moderate to high skill and weapon class levels. These members are good in combat, but aren’t at the level of the Security Division.

Science Division

This division is comprised of members who are scientists or doctors. These members have a basic knowledge of science, but aren’t yet at the skill level of those scientists and doctors in Alpha Team.

Production and Service Division

This division is comprised of the working class members of the old world. These members were once chefs, engineers, construction workers, farmers, and other workers. In the old world, they provided for the world; now, they help provide for their squad. These members lack the experience that the Alpha Members have, thus their production is at a lower level.

Mercenary Division

This division is comprised of any member who is a civilian and wields a weapon. This division was mainly created for new members whose skills remain unknown. This is a good starting point before being placed into a larger division and is the usual placement site for those recruits who haven’t been through their MSC.

The Vault

Our clan has established a clan account to hold all clan funds and items. Information on interacting with the clan vault can be found on our thread. Below is the graphic that illustrates what our Vault has.

Clan Events

Clans aren’t just about posting in a thread, they are about working together to accomplish a goal(s) and having fun together. This is a list of clan events that are hosted by us. Clan events can be proposed by anyone and can be run by any member. They can incorporate allies or outside members.

Operation Nemesis

A Nemesis is loose in Fairview and is tracking the S.T.A.R.S. With it on your tail, you must race to a predestined spot (usually a public toilet) before you die. The Nemesis is allowed 3 weapons and armor and the S.T.A.R.S. get 1 weapon and Armor (Stat-Booster weapons are allowed if they remain unused). The S.T.A.R.S. may work together or go solo, but the more people that survive the more of a reward. In addition to Nemesis, there is a Nicholai (traitor). No one knows who the traitor is. The traitors job is to survive by killing the other S.T.A.R.S. members and sealing the extraction point without them. This event is easier in 2D, but 3D is doable. The mechanics for doing this in 3D are still being worked on. When interiors are done, the game can be played, but other players have the ability to interfere.

Possible Rewards: Traitor Wins: (Kills Everyone and Extracts) ($10,000), (Kills 1 or more and Extracts) ($7,500), (Extracts) ($3,000). S.T.A.R.S. Win (1 Survive) ($2,000 each), (2-3 Survive) ($5,000 each), (4 Survive) ($7,500). Nemesis Wins (Kills Everyone)($12,000). Whoever kills the Traitor gets $5,000.

Survival

This event works by sending the players out to a pre-determined spot in the inner city. Aggro is created and the players fight to be the last survivor standing. Variations to this can include making all players take a low weapon, make them take a set amount of ammo, not allowing armor, etc.

Possible Rewards: Last survivor standing will receive $10,000 from the clan bank.

General Loot/Grind Trips

The simple working with other clan members and/or other clans. These trips are meant to work together to loot and fight off the undead. Planning a loot trip, grind trip, need help with a mission, etc? Post on the thread in plenty of time before you leave and bring some friends along. If you wish to compile information on your trip, I can post it under recent events.

Recent Clan Events

December 30th, 2011

A round of Operation: Nemesis was played from the gates of Fort Pastor. RuggedDoom24 was the Nemesis and Ghost Assassin97, Kapac, and STARSMember930 were the S.T.A.R.S. members. The event ended with Kapac being the lone survivor of Nemesis's wrath. Through playing this event, we have found the game needs to be tweaked for 3D. In addition, we have added the use of GPS for Nemesis to help him find the survivors.
